Open house on October 14 at the Saint Priest campus as part of Science Day!

On Saturday, October 14, starting at 10 a.m., the St Priest Campus will open its doors exceptionally for the entire day for the Fête de la Science (Science Festival). The goal will be to take all participants on a journey into the heart of new technologies in computer science, microelectronics, electronic systems, robotics, and mechanics.

On the agenda: immersive workshops, conferences, and the launch of "MorphoQuest," the virtual application that allows users to discover the various activity locations and download 3D data for this fabulous treasure hunt on campus.

An open house with a varied program and different objectives

Discover the world of digital technology, from information to systems, data to artificial intelligence, technology to humans, and also learn about wood as a material and granular media at the various stands run by teams from the laboratories on the St Priest campus, the LIRMM (Montpellier Laboratory of Computer Science, Robotics and Microelectronics), IES (Institute of Electronics and Systems), and LMGC (Laboratory of Mechanics and Civil Engineering). You will discover the evolution of all these new technologies through demonstrations and collaborative, interactive workshops.

Several mini-conferences will be offered throughout the day, covering all research topics. Food will also be available on site, as four food trucks will be present on campus (Asian cuisine, African cuisine, hamburgers, and pitas) in a dedicated area.

Unveiling of the MorphoQuest application!

MorphoQuest is a serious game designed for children to discover morphogenesis in 3D. It is a treasure hunt for fascinating scientific data, allowing players to explore some major scientific questions through a series of mini-games. The game will be launched during the Science Festival in Montpellier, where players will take a tour of several university campuses, assisted by the Professor Cell mascot, and discover 3D data on several ascidian embryos and monkey skulls!
