Innovation Awards

Encourage and promote innovative actions by the 5 Pôles de Research of the University of Montpellier, such is the aim of the "Innovation Prize". Every year, this call for projects, aimed at staff from the UM and partner institutions in the ISITE Program of Excellence (PEI), rewards the best innovation initiatives. The Prix de l'Innovation 2024 awards ceremony is scheduled for July 8 at Montpellier's Jardin des Plantes, during an innovation afterwork.

Are you a researcher interested in taking part in the Innovation Awards?

  • The researcher or group applying for the "Innovation Prize" must be a permanent or non-permanent staff member of a member institution of the ISITE Program of Excellence (PEI).
  • Applications must be accompanied by a curriculum vitae in PDF format and sent by e-mail.

Innovation Awards

  • Each winner will receive a personal prize of €3,000 (three thousand euros), to be awarded at a ceremony.
  • Six winning projects will be chosen by the jury: five corresponding to the Research clusters of PEI partner establishments, and one named the "Prix Coup de Cœur", created to encourage innovation between, across and beyond all disciplines.

The jury

The Prix de l'Innovation project manager, the valorization referents and the scientific referents are responsible for evaluating the proposals and producing a ranking of eligible applications. The project manager will submit the applications to the COM'IN (Innovation and Investment Committee) of the Pôle Universitaire d'Innovation de Montpellier for decision.

The COM'IN is a body composed of :

  • Representatives of the PUI's founding establishments ;
  • Representatives of value-added subsidiaries ;
  • Research Center Directors or their representatives ;
  • Invited scientific or technical experts.
