Screening and discussion of the film "Des goûts de lutte" by Emmanuelle Reungoat, teacher-researcher at the University of Montpellier.
On Saturday, January 25 at 7pm at the La Vista theater in Montpellier, we'll be screening "Des goûts de lutte", a 58-minute documentary film directed by Emmanuelle Reungoat, a teacher-researcher at the UM, and Pierre-Olivier Gaumin, photographer and director. The screening will be followed by a discussion-debate with the company's team and the directors.

A topical documentary
" History begins after the struggle. What imprint does an extraordinary revolt leave on those who lived through it? By following the intersecting itineraries of Gilets Jaunes for several years after the movement, the film questions the evolution of their relationships with the world, politics, violence, otherness or social boundaries.
The struggle also leaves its mark on the inner world, which sometimes upsets and sometimes frees, and which reveals itself in relationships with work, family, the spoken word and oneself.
A historian and a sociologist echo these traces with those of other movements that have marked history, such as the Paris Commune or the Spanish Indignés. Through the intimate and the collective, the film questions the extent to which social struggles can transform us and become emancipatory.
