A Look Back at the First Day of the Experimental and Regenerative Medicine Division of the Biology-Health Research Cluster
The1stCongress on Regenerative Medicine & Biotherapies, heldon Friday, October 9, was a resounding success despite challenging local health conditions.

Organized bythe Institute of Regenerative Medicine & Biotherapies (IRMB)in Montpellier, in partnership withMontpellier University Hospital aspart of theI-SITE MUSE Experimental & Regenerative Medicine Day, it brought together 180 registered participants, including 90 in person and 90 via live stream.
Fifteen cutting-edge presentations brought together national scientific expertise on topics as diverse as restoring mobility, tissue and skeletal regeneration, senescence, 3D cartilage reconstruction, and the clinical use of stem cells… They highlighted the value of a multidisciplinary approach to the pathologies addressed in these fields, aiming to broaden the scope of discussion and push innovation to the very limits of what is possible. The topics and research presented at thisinauguralconference demonstrate the development potential oftomorrow’sregenerative medicine and open up new horizons for humanity—topics that will be the focus of future editions of this event.
The day continued with a panel discussion featuring a patient representative and the Arthritis Foundation, focusing on osteoarticular diseases, which provided an opportunity for insightful and positive dialogue.
The event concluded with a particularly enlightening public lecture on the life of “Théophraste Renaudot, physician and pioneering philanthropist.”
