Innovative online training in environmental health
The University of Montpellier, with the support and funding of the Occitanie regional health agency, is launching an innovative project in the field of environmental health training: the creation of a small private online course (SPOC) dedicated to environmental health for primary care.

This project is part of Priority 1, "Informing, training, and educating about environmental health," of the Occitanie Regional Environmental Health Plan (PRSE4 Occitanie 2023-2028). This SPOC, or small private online course, is a type of MOOC reserved for a targeted audience that aims to provide professionals, communities, and citizens with the knowledge and skills they need to take action on the environment and health.
Currently in development since July 2024 in collaboration with the CPAM (French social security agency) of Hérault and the university department of general medicine (DUMG), this Spoc will be a hybrid training program, combining online modules and face-to-face sessions. Available from early 2026, it is primarily aimed at coordinators of coordinated healthcare structures (local healthcare communities/multi-professional healthcare centers), as well as students in the relevant fields.
