The Interlude
Activities and Objectives of the Association

The mission of the non-profit organization La ParenThèse is:
- to combat student dropout rates and isolation during the process of writing academic papers (master’s theses, doctoral dissertations);
- to help them graduate sooner;
- to enhance their employability, particularly by creating an interdisciplinary social and professional network through the writing activity.
To achieve this, team members organize three types of events that bring together between 10 and 15 student participants (in person) and about 40 students (online).
These events are part of a scientific research process:
- writing events (one-day workshops, writing retreats, and mini-ParenThèses);
- events focused on mutual support and exchange (Plume Doc workshops, Master Classes);
- events designed to help you unwind (AfterThèse nature retreats).
