Montpellier University Symphony Orchestra (OSUM)
Activities and Objectives of the Association
Do you play an instrument? Do you enjoy socializing? Come join the Montpellier University Symphony Orchestra!
This orchestra consists of about 60 musicians and includes students, faculty, researchers, as well as amateur musicians from outside the academic community.
OSUM gives about ten concerts a year, both in the city and throughout the region. The highlight of the year is a concert held at the Opéra Comédie, with proceeds going to the League Against Cancer.
The symphony orchestra rehearses every Wednesday from 8:00 p.m. to 10:30 p.m. in Lecture Hall 5.06 of the Faculty of Sciences, as well as on select Saturday mornings.
We are recruiting wind and string players; feel free to visit the OSUM website for more information.
We’ll be there for the new student orientation day and at the Antigone student club fair.
