Overview

The Montpellier Student Chapter (SCM) is an association that brings together current and former students of the Master’s program in Exploration and Reservoir Geology (GER) at the University of Montpellier. The association is affiliated with Terinov, whose mission is to bring together companies, research centers, and educational institutions in the geosciences fields across the Occitanie and PACA regions.
The members of Student Chapter Montpellier have made it their mission to promote geology to the general public and to maintain strong ties with georesources professionals! The association’s flagship activity is the annual organization of a field trip that allows them to meet key players in the geology industry, visit natural sites, and exchange expertise to better understand the industrial sector. In addition, their “Intergenerational Geologists” project is particularly close to their hearts. They organize geoscience discovery activities for middle and high school students, as well as for seniors.
