Languedoc-Roussillon Interns Union (SILR)
Activities and objectives of the association
The Languedoc-Roussillon Interns' Union (SILR) is an association created in 2005 whose purpose is to defend the rights of medical interns in all specialties in the Montpellier-Nîmes subdivision.

Its missions fall within four main areas:
- Organizing internship placements: a painstaking task involving our executive assistants and dozens of different contacts to ensure that we meet the expectations and needs of our interns as closely as possible.
- Regular exchanges with the Faculty of Medicine, the Department of General Medicine, hospital teaching centers, and the Regional Health Agency (ARS) to ensure satisfactory training and quality of life throughout the subdivision.
- union monitoring, i.e. conducting negotiations or even legal action with the aim of defending internal rights.
- Finally, we organize team-building events, sports and cultural activities, and evening events to help interns unwind after a long day or week of training!
