Amateur Theater at the University of Science and Technology (TAUST)

Activities and Objectives of the Association

TAUST (Amateur Theater at the University of Science and Technology) is a student organization based at the University of Montpellier on the Triolet campus, founded in 1991.

Its goal is to enable students from all higher education backgrounds to discover and engage in theater in various forms, in a free and open manner, with no prerequisites.

For over 30 years, TAUST has offered as many people as possible the opportunity to explore theater, improvisation, and musicals, and to discover the art of drama, through more than 150 productions created since the group’s inception. Based on the principles of enthusiasm and commitment, the association welcomes any student eager to participate in theater, regardless of skill level or experience.

Above all, TAUST is a place where people come together to create shared memories and all kinds of emotions! This cheerful atmosphere spreads through the various events organized throughout the year: the Taustissimes (monthly get-togethers), the famous Nuits des Équinoxes festival in March, and other exciting events…
