L'(S)pace, a multi-service space A living and meeting space on the Triolet campus, offering a wide range of services dedicated to students: fast food provided by the CROUS; a "digital fountain" (multimedia space equipped with innovative digital tools); a range of services and information. Inaugurated in December 2006, the Maison des Étudiants (MdE) "Aimé Schoenig" is located on the Richter campus south of Montpellier. Performance hall Throughout the year, the 250-seat auditorium is available for live performances (theater, dance, music, etc.), film screenings, conferences and symposia. Music room The music room is open from 8:00 am to 8:00 pm. The equipment needed for rehearsals is made available to students (amplifiers, drums, microphones, guitars, pianos, bass, etc.) Recording studio The recording studio is open to student musicians to record audio demos with a sound engineer. Large hall A favorite spot for students during lunch breaks and between courses, it is also used for receptions and cocktails, or to host exhibitions. It is also a venue for events and mini-concerts throughout the year. Student association office This is where the University's student associations can set up offices to meet students and hold meetings. Mezzanine On the 1st floor, a mezzanine equipped for group work and a relaxation area are at your disposal. Preventive Medicine Service - SCMPPS This service welcomes students to the MDE Aimé Schoenig for health check-ups, information or referral to a health professional. Sport - SUAPS The sports department welcomes you every day of the week from 12:00 to 20:00: a weight room with free access and a dance room for stretching, step, zumba classes... Opened in February 1998, this student center is located on the Triolet Campus. Spaces at your disposal... Screenings, concerts, exhibitions and conferences are organized by student associations throughout the academic year at the MdE Françoise BARRÉ-SINOUSSI (Triolet). It is also open to UM staff. These spaces can be reserved or rented. Multi-purpose room A large, fully-equipped room (stage, sound, lighting, video projector, wifi connection) offers a space for broadcasting and exchanging ideas, a real place of conviviality. Meeting room A meeting room is also available to students on simple reservation. Music room Two pianos and an electronic drum set are available for students wishing to begin or practice playing these instruments. Access to the instruments is by presentation of the student card. Rich in their respective histories, these MdEs are available to all students at the University of Montpellier. Conceived as places of entertainment and artistic creation, they organize a variety of programs (shows, conferences, workshops, etc.). The Fonds de Solidarité et de Développement des Initiatives Étudiantes (FSDIE) is a financial tool for solidarity and the promotion of student life. FSDIE has two missions: To help finance student projects in various fields (culture, humanitarian aid, sport, solidarity, environment, civic engagement, etc.). To provide financial support for students in difficulty or in precarious situations, in conjunction with CROUS social workers. How does FSDIE work? This fund is financed by part of the CVEC (Contribution Vie Étudiante et de Campus) paid by students when they register. An allocation committee meets in two separate configurations, one for social aid, the other for project aid. Its opinions are forwarded to the Training and University Life Commission (CFVU), which makes the final decision on the allocation of credits. How to apply? For projects and collective initiatives: Check that your project can be financed by the FSDIE by consulting the charter, Discover the FSDIE in 6 steps Access the "Dossier unique / FSDIE" application and follow the instructions. For assistance - FSDIE social: Student Life Services works with the CROUS social service to help students in financial or social difficulty. To apply for emergency assistance from the University of Montpellier's FSDIE and/or the CROUS' Aide spécifique Allocation Ponctuelle (ASAP), follow the instructions on the CROUS website (under Action sociale/ Santé, Aides spécifiques ponctuelles).
