Sports (SUAPS)

The SUAPS at the University of Montpellier is the sports service available to all students at the University of Montpellier and staff employed by the institution. Registration is open throughout the year on your ENT and does not require a medical certificate. Register directly online and explore all the sports on offer on the SUAPS website. Access the SUAPS website What sports activities are available? Some classes are open to all, while others must be booked up to seven days in advance to participate in sports in Montpellier, Sète, Béziers, Nîmes, Carcassonne, and Mende. List of activities: Team sports: handball, soccer, futsal, basketball, ultimate frisbee, rugby, volleyball Combat sports: judo, boxing, French boxing, Thai boxing, capoeira, kickboxing, karate Physical fitness: fitness, gymnastics, weight training, yoga, step, Pilates, physical conditioning, muscle strengthening Dance: salsa, bachata, Latin, jazz, contemporary, neoclassical, lindy hop, solo jazz, Afro, dancehall, reggaeton, street jazz, Zumba, rock sol, acrobatic rock, cardio Water sports: swimming, lifesaving Racket sports: table tennis, badminton, padel, tennis Other sports: athletics, climbing See the full SUAPS program. About SUAPS SUAPS offers: Free sports all year round: 255 classes per week for all levels, 50 sports: physical training, fitness, Pilates, yoga, combat sports, racket sports, team sports, fitness, weight training, health sports, dance, athletics, gymnastics, climbing, swimming, etc. Tournaments and sporting events: catamaran sailing, sports night, trail running, introductory diving, aquathlon, outdoor climbing, rowing, beach volleyball, and more. The sports option to enhance your studies: enroll in the Evaluated Sports Training (FSE) program (option available at ENSCM, IUT Montpellier/Nîmes/Sète/Béziers, and in the UFR and Institute: Montpellier Management, Economics, Medicine, Dentistry, Pharmacy, Sciences, Law, and Political Science). University sports competitions, to challenge yourself and represent the university: the Montpellier University Sports Association (ASUM) and SUAPS coach and support you. "High-Level Athlete" status, to balance studies and sports careers: SUAPS assists you in your application for "SHN" status (possible adjustments to studies and exams). Various sports facilities are available and can be rented for events, sports activities, or specific projects: all facilities are made available exclusively through an agreement, which sets out the terms of use, responsibilities, and conditions of access.
