Marcoule Institute of Separative Chemistry (ICSM)
The ICSM’s primary missions in addressing energy challenges are as follows:

- to conduct basic research in the chemistry and physicochemistry of separative chemistry processes necessary for the growth of carbon-free energy, in a context of dwindling natural resources, by innovating to separate, sort, and recycle (strategic metals);
- design and optimize materials to prepare for future trends by conducting research into sustainable nuclear energy and alternative energy sources, with the goal of recycling recoverable materials.
