IUT Nîmes

General presentation

Opened in 1968, the IUT de Nîmes offers technical and professional training tailored to local and regional needs. A major socio-economic player in the Languedoc-Roussillon region, the institute has awarded over 20,000 diplomas since its opening.

An incubator for multi-disciplinary projects (space, accessibility, electric vehicles, FABLAB, innovative materials), the IUT de Nîmes offers project-oriented teaching. A quarter of our students complete their studies under a work-study program.

Key figures

• 1,200 students (initial training, apprenticeship and continuing education)
• 80% continue their studies (engineering schools, L pro and L3)
• 5 Professional licenses through sandwich courses and conventional initial training
• 1/3 teacher-researchers, 1/3 lecturers, 1/3 professionals (250 temporary staff)
• Strong partnerships with companies and organizations (REXEL, CNES, EDF, Eurocopter, etc.)

Training

The IUT de Nîmes offers a range of Bachelors of Technology (BUT) and Licences professionnelles courses. These courses are offered in 5 thematic departments:
