A national event held in the Occitanie region, the Premières Assises Sciences-Sociétés (First Science-Society Conferences) aim to strengthen cooperation between research players and civil society, and provide a better (re)understanding of their interactions.
Open to the public, these conferences are open to all : researchers, practitioners, associations, companies, elected representatives, students, teachers, engineers, local technicians, citizens...
Registration is mandatory... but free ! It will be available directly at the reception desk from 9 am on July 3.
Several objectives:
- increase the visibility of players and actions at the Science-Society interface;
- develop communities of practice between practitioners and researchers;
- encourage equitable cooperation between these players;
- strengthen recognition and support from institutions and public policies.
On the program:
Around 50 workshops, events, roundtables, forum-theater sessions... built around 5 themes in an open, collaborative and participative way:
- building spaces for cooperation between science and society ;
- strengthen the research capabilities of society as a whole ;
- making knowledge a common good;
- rethinking progress;
- explore and incubate new proposals.
The Assises is also an original forum open to the general public, where, in a fun and friendly format, you can see, learn about and try out some of the Science-Society initiatives and schemes that bring researchers and citizens together!
