"What is the ChemLab platform used for?

The Chemistry Research Cluster's " What's ChemLab for?" seminar aims to give you an insight into the facilities and equipment of the ENSCM ChemLab platform.

Come and discover the facilities and equipment of ENSCM's ChemLab platform . After a general introduction to the platform, the equipment and facilities available in the laboratories and production workshop will be presented. Those in charge will describe the activities developed, particularly in organic synthesis and plant extraction, as well as the purification techniques available. The operation and implementation of services will be described in detail.

Speakers:

• Dr. Marie-Agnès LACOUR (ENSCM - ChemLab) - Platform manager and head of the synthesis and extraction laboratories.
• Clément BUTTIGNOL (ENSCM - ChemLab) - Production workshop and analysis laboratory manager.

About the speakers :

Marie-Agnès LACOUR is in charge of the ChemLab platform. She is in charge of the operational side: customer relations, drawing up specifications and estimates for services, as well as aspects relating to platform certification. She is also responsible for the synthesis and extraction laboratories, and is in charge of laboratory-scale services in chemical synthesis and plant extraction using conventional processes or innovative technologies such as microwaves or ultrasound.

Clément BUTTIGNOL is in charge of the ChemLab platform's production workshop and analytical laboratory. He is in charge of all scale-up operations in chemical synthesis and plant extraction in the production workshop, as well as routine analyses. He is also in charge of inventory and waste management.
