“What is the ChemLab platform used for?”

The Chemistry Research Cluster’s seminar,“What Is ChemLab For?”, is designed to give you an opportunity to explore the facilities and equipment at ENSCM’s ChemLab platform.

Come discover the facilities and equipment at ENSCM’s ChemLab platform . Following a general introduction to the platform, we will present the equipment and facilities available in the laboratories and production workshop. Staff members will discuss the activities carried out there, particularly in organic synthesis and plant extraction, as well as the purification techniques available. We will also provide details on how the service offerings operate and are implemented.

Speakers:

• Dr. Marie-Agnès LACOUR (ENSCM – ChemLab) – Platform Director and Head of the Synthesis and Extraction Laboratories.
• Clément BUTTIGNOL (ENSCM – ChemLab) – Head of the production workshop and the analytical laboratory.

About the speakers:

Marie-Agnès LACOUR is the manager of the ChemLab platform. She oversees operational matters, including client relations, drafting service specifications and quotes, as well as aspects related to the platform’s certification. She is also in charge of the synthesis and extraction laboratories and oversees laboratory-scale services in chemical synthesis and plant extraction using conventional methods or innovative technologies such as microwaves or ultrasound.

Clément BUTTIGNOL is in charge of the production facility and the analytical laboratory at the ChemLab platform. He oversees all scale-up operations related to chemical synthesis and plant extraction at the production facility, as well as routine analyses. He is also responsible for inventory and waste management.
