There will be over 9 billion of us by 2050! This represents a real challenge for the future food supply of mankind, which must meet two major challenges: population growth and environmental protection.

To meet its food needs, mankind will have to reduce its meat consumption, evolve its agricultural production methods and develop new agro-economic models.

From insects to urban agriculture, seaweed to in vitro meat, new trends are already emerging to change the way we eat.

This 1st Science Bar of the 2020 season will be hosted by :

  • Stéphane Guilbert, Professor of Food Science at Sup'Agro Montpellier;
  • Ariane Sultan, Professor at Montpellier University Hospital, Department of Endocrinology, Diabetology and Nutrition.
