CNRS video-café: When animals talk to humans

  • Category:
  • Dates : March 18, 2021
  • Timetable: 1:00 pm - 1:00 pm
  • Location:

March's coffee & video is part of Brain Week 2021, the connected edition!

On March 18 at 1pm, discover the film When animals talk to humans Bats that babble like human babies or wolves that coordinate silently: the forms of animal language are astonishing. But what about a possible dialogue with humans? Since the late 1950s, researchers around the world have been trying to decipher the way animals communicate. In recent years, they have modified their approach: it is no longer a question of teaching animals our language, but of deciphering theirs in order to enter into communication with them.

After the screening, you can meet CEFE researcher Aurélie Célérier and animal behaviorist Edwin Garzon and ask them your questions live.
