Civil Engineering and Sustainable Construction Challenge
The Civil Engineering Sustainable Construction (GCCD) department of the IUT of Nîmes is organizing the 9th edition of the Civil Engineering and Sustainable Construction Challenge, which will be held from June 10 to 12, 2025 at the IUT of Nîmes.
This event will allow students from the 29 Civil Engineering departments of IUTs in mainland France and overseas, construction professionals and the academic world to meet and discuss current topics in the field of Civil Engineering such as sustainable construction , mobility and urban planning , and technological advances .
This challenge offers students the opportunity to learn modeling tools
digital and to put in place concrete arrangements which respond to the constraints induced by climate change.
Topic 1:
Design and digital modeling of a development project for the IUT of Nîmes.
Topic 2:
Integration of site or reused materials into a building project.
The 6,500 BUT GCCD students will participate in the 9th edition of the Civil Engineering and Sustainable Construction Challenge organized by the Civil Engineering Department of the IUT of Nîmes. Their projects, developed throughout the year, will then be selected for presentation to an audience of students, professionals, and construction industry stakeholders.

Tuesday, June 10
- 12 p.m.: team welcome
- 2 p.m.-7 p.m.: technical, sporting and cultural events
Wednesday, June 11
- 8:30 a.m.: public reception at the stands
- 9 a.m.-1 p.m.: Presentations and selection of finalists
- 2 p.m.: practical workshops
Thursday, June 12
- 8:30 a.m.: Welcome to professionals
- 9 a.m.-12 p.m.: Presentations of the winning teams
- 12:30 p.m.: awards ceremony and discussion time
