Symposium: “CRISPR, the Swiss Army Knife of Genetic Engineering”

The French Society of Genetics (SFG) has chosen to dedicate its next annual conference to CRISPR/Cas9 technology, which lies at the heart of basic and applied genetics. It will be held November 16–18, 2017, at the Faculty of Sciences in Montpellier. An initial public lecture providing an overview of the current state of the art and addressing societal and ethical issues will be followed by a roundtable discussion with audience participation. Over the next two days, internationally renowned speakers will lead the conference’s scientific program, organized into three sessions, each covering an important aspect of CRISPR-based genome editing technology.
