The Société Française de Génétique (SFG) has chosen to dedicate its next annual congress, to CRISPR/Cas9 technology, at the heart of fundamental and applied genetics. It will be held from November 16 to 18, 2017 at the Faculté des Sciences in Montpellier. A first conference for the general public giving the state of the art and dealing with societal and ethical aspects, will be followed by a round table discussion interacting with the public. Over the following two days, internationally renowned speakers will lead the scientific program of the congress organized into three sessions, each covering an important aspect of CRISPR "genome editing" technology.
