The French Society of Genetics (SFG) has chosen to devote its next annual conference to CRISPR/Cas9 technology, which lies at the heart of fundamental and applied genetics. It will be held from November 16 to 18, 2017, at the Faculty of Sciences in Montpellier. An initial conference for the general public, presenting the state of the art and addressing societal and ethical aspects, will be followed by a round table discussion with audience participation. Over the following two days, internationally renowned speakers will lead the scientific program of the conference, organized into three sessions, each covering an important aspect of CRISPR genome editing technology.
