The symposium “Sharing Intellectual Property” is being held to mark the 30th anniversary of the Master’s program in Intellectual Property Law and ICT at the Montpellier School of Law (formerly the DEA in Law of Intangible Creations).
The aim is to explore avenues of thought regarding the new forms of collaborative creation and exploitation that are emerging not only in contractual practice but also in legal scholarship. These forms of communication and creation, born of the digital revolution, are indeed characterized by great agility and a certain fluidity. The conference is designed to examine how the collaborative model impacts intellectual property law. Beyond that, it also aims to understand the role of the collective—which remains relatively understudied—in intellectual property rules and practices.
