Symposium: “Local and global: the agri-food industry takes responsibility”

As part of its Sustainable Development and Social Responsibility (DDRS) initiative for the SPA2E master's degree (Agricultural Resources Science and Processes for Food and the Environment), the EnvAgroTech association is organizing its annual scientific conference.

This year, the theme chosen to orchestrate this day isthe use and promotion of agricultural resources.

The aim of the conference is to organize a debate around this framework, thereby highlighting the importance of sustainable development, eco-design, and the food chains of tomorrow.

Representatives from companies, start-ups, and research professionals will be present to contribute to this debate. The aim will be to demonstrate that sustainable development is a collective response and that it must restore value to our food.

To this end, conferences will be held in the afternoon. These will cover several topics focused on the valorization of biomass, specifically co-products from our industry. We are pleased to welcome Hélène Angellier-Coussy, who will present her work on the design of bioplastics from agricultural lignocellulosic residues, a resource that is currently underutilized. We will also welcome a representative from Antofénol, a start-up that seeks to guide and develop work on the recovery of wine-making waste. Other speakers will join us to further explore our central theme.
