This quartet, composed of four professors from the Nîmes Conservatory, was formed in 2015 around a poetic performance combining theater and music at the Théâtre de Nîmes.
Today, they have chosen to present two very different facets of Romanticism in music, with these two masterpieces: the dark despair of Felix Mendelssohn’s Quartet Op. 80, known as “To Fanny,” composed in tribute to his sister who died too young, and the cheerful lightheartedness of Anton Dvořák’s Quartet Op. 96, known as the “American.”
