This quartet, made up of 4 teachers from the Conservatoire de Nîmes, formed back in 2015 around a poetic show combining theater and music at the Théâtre de Nîmes.
Today, they have chosen to present two very different faces of Romanticism in music, with these two masterpieces: the dark despair of Felix Mendelssohn's Quartet Op. 80, known as "Fanny's", composed as a tribute to his sister who died too soon, and the cheerful insouciance of Anton Dvorak's Quartet Op. 96, known as "American".
