Student Living Conditions 2023
The tenth edition will take place between March 13 and May 21, 2023. More than 245,000 students will be invited to respond to the CVO questionnaire.
The Student Life Conditions survey is the only nationwide survey dedicated to the study of living and studying conditions in France.
Each year, approximately 80% of higher education institutions participate in the survey. For the 2023 edition, 546 higher education institutions and 530 high schools are invited to participate in the survey. This extensive coverage ensures that the survey is highly representative of the higher education field.
The new features of the 2023 edition
The questionnaire of the Living Conditions of Students survey contains questions common to the European EUROSTUDENT questionnaire and questions specific to the survey conducted in France. It covers the following main themes: study path up to the time of the survey, study conditions (at the place of study, travel conditions, etc.), free time, paid work, housing, resources and expenses, health, food, parents and relatives, socio-demographic characteristics (social and geographic origins, gender, age). In order to better adapt to current issues of living and studying conditions, several changes have been made to this new edition in agreement with the Scientific Council and College of the OVE. Questions on the transition to master's level and on mental health have been expanded, and others on distance learning have been introduced for the first time.
