Video gaming: adopt the right habits to avoid parent-child conflicts
Thursday, November 30, 2017, from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
Institute of Botany, Charles Flahault Lecture Hall
Lecture given by Antoine Chollet, Senior Lecturer in the IT department at Montpellier University of Technology (University of Montpellier) and member of the Montpellier Research (MRM) laboratory, within the Information Systems group.
This public conference aims to address the excessive use of video games and the taboos surrounding this practice (abuse, violence, and isolation).
The aim is to examine the questions that parents and children may have about playing video games.
Proposals are put forward to encourage good behavior and reflexes: for children, to raise awareness of their own passion, and for parents, to help them understand this sometimes misunderstood hobby. The aim is to offer food for thought on how to reestablish communication and contact between parents and children around this popular hobby, which can sometimes hold wonderful surprises.
