On November 29, the Nîmes Midwifery Student Association, in collaboration with the Carabin Crocodile Association and other Nîmes associations, is organizing an event at the Nîmes Faculty of Medicine as part of European Waste Reduction Week (a European initiative aimed at promoting and supporting awareness-raising and sustainable resource and waste management initiatives).

Many topics will be covered during the day: composting, recycling, reuse, repackaging and second life, zero waste, food waste, eco-friendly alternatives, energy transition, etc.

The aim of this event is to raise awareness of issues relating to ecological transition and sustainable development and to take action through concrete projects: installation of a collective composter, inauguration of a donation library, setting up a vegetable basket system, etc. The aim is also to involve students and the academic community, to create links between different sites and local universities so that, in the future, they can collaborate on projects.
