Build your eco-campus!
This event has already taken place!
Nîmes School of Medicine – 186 Chemin du Carreau de Lanes, 30900 Nîmes.
Free event open to the public.
The Nîmes Midwifery Students’ Association is organizing an event on November 29 at the Nîmes Faculty of Medicine, in collaboration with the Carabin Crocodile Association and other local organizations, as part of European Waste Reduction Week (a European initiative aimed at promoting and supporting awareness-raising efforts and sustainable resource and waste management).
Many topics will be covered throughout the day: composting, recycling, reuse, repurposing and giving items a second life, zero waste, food waste, eco-friendly alternatives, the energy transition, and more.
The goal of this event is to raise awareness about issues related to the ecological transition and sustainable development and to take action through concrete projects: setting up a community compost bin, launching a donation-based library, establishing a vegetable basket program… The goal is also to involve students and the academic community, to build connections between different campuses and local universities so that, perhaps, they can collaborate on projects in the future.
