CSIP Professional Development Day: Professional Development for Student Success and the Attractiveness of Academic Programs

How can we leverage professional development opportunities to enhance student success and make academic programs more attractive?

As part of its “Educational Day” event, the Center for Support of Educational Innovation (CSIP) is hosting a conference on the topic of professional development for higher education faculty as a key factor in student success and the appeal of academic programs.

The goal is to discuss the following questions:

Transforming teaching practices to better accommodate the growing diversity of the student body… Getting involved in a process of educational transformation…

Why? What are the concrete impacts on student success?

How? Professional development: A lifelong learning approach? (Updating teaching practices, drawing on reflective approaches…)

How can it contribute to the development of skills related to the profession? How can this be facilitated? What support systems are currently available for university faculty members?

To discuss these major issues in higher education, we are pleased to welcome Christelle Lison, a professor in the Department of Pedagogy at the Faculty of Education, Université de Sherbrooke (Quebec, Canada).

This conference is accompanied by a training workshop offered in the afternoon.
