At the initiative of the Comité Consultatif National d'Ethique (CCNE), the Espace de Réflexion Ethique Occitanie, is organizing the first regional bioethics meetings from February 1 to April 5, 2018, which will bring together the general public, specialists and experts from health, research and the human and social sciences.

What is the purpose of the Etats généraux de bioéthique?

A review of the 2011 law on bioethics is scheduled for 2018. In order to involve citizens in this review process, the Etats généraux de la bioéthique are being organized throughout France in the 1st quarter of 2018. Their aim is to provide an opportunity for a wide-ranging debate. The CCNE will produce a summary.
This meeting will take place around Pr Pascal Pujol, onco-geneticist, and will be hosted by a journalist.
