RIVOC Key Challenge – Summer School “Biodiversity and Vectors”
This event has passed!
The link between biodiversity loss and the emergence of diseases is frequently highlighted. However, the role of vectors as elements of biodiversity, the consequences of vector control methods on biodiversity, and the influence of biodiversity on vectors and the diseases they transmit remain poorly explored.
The objective of this training is to explore vector-borne diseases that affect humans, animals, and plants from a OneHealth perspective, through various models involving mosquitoes, ticks, mollusks, aphids, and more, and to consider prevention and control solutions.
The theme of this new edition is "Biodiversity and vectors: beyond chemical control? "
