RIVOC Key Challenge – “Biodiversity and Vectors” Summer School
This event has already taken place!
The link between biodiversity loss and the emergence of diseases is frequently highlighted. However, the role of vectors as components of biodiversity, the impact of vector control methods on biodiversity, and the influence of biodiversity on vectors and the diseases they transmit remain largely unexplored.
The goal of this training is to explore vector-borne diseases that affect humans, animals, and plants from a OneHealth perspective, using various models involving mosquitoes, ticks, snails, aphids, and many others, and to consider prevention and control strategies.
The theme of this new edition is“Biodiversity and Vectors: Beyond Chemical Control? ”
