Documentary film “Tastes of Struggle”

Preview screening of the documentary “Des Goûts de Lutte” at Cinéma Diagonal on Tuesday, April 30, at 6:30 p.m.

The screening will be followed by a discussion with the filmmakers, moderated by Cécile Hautefeuille, a journalist at Médiapart. In partnership with the LDH, Politis, Les Amis du Monde Diplo, and La Cavale bookstore.

Synopsis:

“In 2018, they burst onto the political scene. By donning a yellow vest, they rebelled for the first time in their lives.”

The film tells the story of what happened afterward.

Through their intersecting paths, we see how their life trajectories have been altered: put on hold, derailed, or illuminated by this decisive experience that will, in one way or another, politicize their lives. Echoing the stories of other uprisings, the film explores the nature of citizenship and the emancipatory power of revolt. “
