Occitanie Regional Final: "My Thesis in 180 Seconds"—Come to the regional final on April 2 in Nîmes!
On April 2, 2026, the Vauban Campus of the University of Nîmes will host the Occitanie regional final of "My Thesis in 180 Seconds" (MT180). Come discover science in a new way and cheer on the young researchers from our region!
After three days of training in rhetoric, public speaking, and science communication, the Class of 2026 of doctoral students from the Montpellier Academy is ready to present their theses… in exactly three minutes!
The 20 doctoral students will take the stage to tackle this unique challenge: presenting their research projects in a clear, engaging, and compelling manner, using just one slide to support their presentation.
This local final is much more than just a presentation: it is a true scientific public speaking competition, in which the audience plays a key role by voting for their favorite candidate and cheering on the region’s next generation of scientists.
