"Is this the Paillade?"

May 25, 8pm - Montpellier City Hall, salle des rencontres. A documentary by 5 students from the Political Science Department screened at Montpellier City Hall.

As part of their Personal Professional Project (PPP), 5 Licence 3 students in political science chose to produce a 52-minute documentary on the issues surrounding the future soccer stadium. They interviewed the main players and observers in the project - the Mayor of Montpellier, MHSC officials, local sports journalists... - as well as residents of the Paillade district, who are concerned about the demise of the sports stadium.

The documentary reveals the complexity and density of Montpellier's relationship with the city's historic soccer stadium, whether in terms of urban policies, the sports economy or the affection for a place that gives a neighborhood its identity and pride of place. The project has generated so much interest and enthusiasm that the Mayor of Montpellier has invited the students to preview their documentary at the Hôtel de Ville on Friday May 25, in the Salle des rencontres, at 8pm.
