How are decisions made at the cerebral level? What role do thought, networks and the senses play in brain function? How do we explain cognitive aging? What are the effects of psychedelics on the brain? How do we explain sleep? Is sport a risk factor for dementia?

These are just some of the questions addressed at the many events taking place during the new edition of Brain Week in our region (Montpellier, Agde, Perpignan...).

Brain enthusiasts - researchers, teacher-researchers, clinicians, students - from our region's large community of neuroscience scientists are offering a rich and diverse program to share their knowledge with the general public and schoolchildren. Workshops, film debates, lectures, philosophical and scientific science bars, testimonials from patients who are the main beneficiaries of advances in knowledge - there's something for everyone!

Don't miss this annual event, free and open to all, to discover the latest advances in brain research.

Brain Week is held under the aegis of the Society for Neuroscience, in partnership with the Federation for Brain Research and the French Ministry of Higher Education and Research.

In Montpellier, theAssociation La Comédie des neurones is coordinating this free event for the general public. It has assembled a team ready to transmit and interact with the public, and to make this event a festive moment of exchange.
