Launch of the Montpellier Branch of the College of Academic Learned Societies of France

This roundtable discussion, in partnership with the “Printemps des comédiens” festival, aims to launch and present the Montpellier branch of the Collège des Sociétés savantes académiques de France, whose roles are as follows:

• networking among member companies and associations and strengthening their dialogue;
• the dissemination of academic work and opinions on topics of importance to the sciences, or on the role of the sciences in society;
• organizing informational sessions, debates, and meetings between the academic community and political and economic decision-makers, the public, and the media;
• the publication of well-reasoned public statements on the organization of scientific and academic life, on French, European, and international research, and on their relationship with society;
• strengthening ties with like-minded organizations in Europe and around the world.
