Launch of the Montpellier branch of the College of Academic Learned Societies of France

This round table discussion, in partnership with the "Printemps des comédiens" festival, aims to launch and present the Montpellier branch of the Collège des Sociétés Savantes Académiques de France (College of Academic Learned Societies of France), whose roles are as follows:

• networking member companies and associations and strengthening dialogue between them;
• the dissemination of academic work and opinions on subjects of importance to science, or on the role of science in society;
• organizing information sessions, debates, and meetings between the academic community and political and economic decision-makers, the public, and the media;
• the publication of reasoned public statements on the organization of scientific and academic life, on French, European, and international research, and on their relationship with society;
• strengthening ties with groups with similar aims in Europe and around the world.
