The term “anxiety-related school refusal” refers to a form of school absenteeism, whether total or partial.

A student's refusal or reluctance to go to school stems from intense anxiety (fear or panic).

It will be helpful to understand this disorder by gaining a better understanding of the anxiety disorders that affect children and young adolescents.

Based on these descriptions, we will discuss specific treatments, drawing on the experience of the specialized unit that opened more than 10 years ago at the Montpellier University Hospital.
