The 8 Days of Biodiversity

The new inter-assos group ARBORESCENCE is organizing its first event, "8 Days of Biodiversity", from February 28 to March 6 at various locations in Montpellier (universities, Cours Diderot, Jardin des Plantes, Gazette Café, Maison du Lez, etc.).

This first edition is sponsored by world-renowned botanist Francis Hallé, and will feature a range of events including lectures, film screenings and nature outings on the environment and biodiversity.

ARBORESCENCE is made up of 5 associations working for biodiversity and the environment in the Hérault region:

• 1 Diplômé 1 Arbre is a student association dedicated to the ecological restoration of degraded environments through the rational planting of trees and hedges.
• Artio is the association of students and graduates of the Master's degree in Environmental and Biodiversity Management at the Faculty of Science, University of Montpellier.
• Fiber Nature is an association whose aim is to contribute to a better understanding of biodiversity throughout France, while bringing nature to the general public in order to protect natural sites.
• GNaUM, or Groupe Naturaliste de l'Université de Montpellier, is a student association open to the general public, offering lectures, inventories, workshops and nature outings.
• Terre Étudiante de Montpellier 3 or TÉM3 is the student environmental association of Montpellier's Paul Valéry University.
