Mites: Sentinal of Life – Insights into Hidden Biodiversity
From July 22, to October 30, 2026, the Jardin des Plantes in Montpellier will host a unique exhibition dedicated to mites. Through spectacular photographs from a competition that brought together international researchers, the INRAE Occitanie-Montpellier Center, in partnership with the University of Montpellier and its School of Medicine, as well as the Institut Agro Montpellier, invites the public to discover these microscopic animals that nevertheless play a major role in soil health, agriculture, ecosystems… and even our daily lives.
