The Journées des arts et de la culture dans l'enseignement supérieur (JACES) will be held on April 3, 4 and 5 coming soon. This nationwide operation organized by Ministère de l'Enseignement supérieur, de la Research et de l'Innovation with the support of the Ministère de la Cultureis designed to help the general public get to know the University's cultural and living spaces.

Anatomie(s) - 1 route, 3 venues, 10 artists / art exhibition


The "Anatomie(s)" exhibition, conceived in partnership between the Musée Atger and two Montpellier galleries, invites ten contemporary artists to explore the theme of anatomy. The Musée Atger's classic nude drawings and academic studies are joined by contemporary visual creations.

Nature's services / photo exhibition

This exhibition invites us to reflect on the way in which nature provides services that are indispensable to our survival. Guilhem Battistella, a former UM student and member of the GNUM collective (Groupe Naturaliste de l'Université de Montpellier), invites us to reconnect with our environment.

L'île rouge / photo exhibition

This exhibition is the result of the "Protect Mada" project led by six ecology students from the Faculty of Science at the University of Montpellier, aimed at creating a community-managed marine protected area (AMPGC) on the island of Nosy Lava, an endangered jewel in the north of Madagascar.

Mots d'Elles and Sous le signe des femmes / photo exhibition


Sylvie Goussopoulos' portraits in Mots d'Elles highlight the exemplary careers of women working in universities. A personal story echoes each portrait, evoking the role model who inspired these women in their careers and lives.

In - utile, a photographic journey / photo exhibition


Photographer Maxcasa signs an exhibition born of the encounter between dance and photography. His sharp eye captures bodies set in motion by choreographer Leonardo Montecchia (Cie de la Mentira), who spent several months in residence at the University of Montpellier in 2015 and 2016.
