The Higher Education Arts and Culture Days (JACES) will be held on April 3, 4, and 5 upcoming. This nationwide campaign organized by the Ministry of Higher Education, Research Innovation, with support from the Ministry of Culture, aims to raise public awareness of the University’s social and cultural spaces.

Anatomy(ies) – 1 route, 3 venues, 10 artists / art exhibition


The exhibition “Anatomie(s),” organized in partnership between the Musée Atger and two galleries in Montpellier, brings together ten contemporary artists exploring the theme of anatomy. The Musée Atger’s collection of classical nude drawings and academic studies is complemented by contemporary visual artworks.

Services Provided by Nature / Photo Exhibition

This exhibition invites us to reflect on how nature provides services essential to our survival at every moment. Through a series of images tirelessly captured during his travels, Guilhem Battistella, a former UM student and member of the GNUM collective (University of Montpellier Naturalist Group), invites us to reconnect with our environment.

The Red Island / Photo Exhibition

This exhibition is the result of the “Protect Mada” project led by six ecology students from the Faculty of Sciences at the University of Montpellier, aimed at creating a community-managed marine protected area (CMPA) on Nosy Lava Island, a threatened gem in northern Madagascar.

Words from Women and In the Name of Women / Photo Exhibition


Sylvie Goussopoulos’s portraits in *Mots d’Elles* highlight the inspiring stories of women working at the university. Each portrait is accompanied by a personal account that reflects on the role model who has inspired these women in their careers and lives.

In – Useless: A Photographic Journey / Photo Exhibition


Photographer Maxcasa presents an exhibition born from the intersection of dance and photography. His keen eye captures the bodies set in motion by choreographer Leonardo Montecchia (Cie de la Mentira), who spent several months in residence at the University of Montpellier in 2015 and 2016.
