Sleep plays a major role in our health: memory and learning, metabolism, immunity… It is now well established that sleep is crucial for many biological and cognitive functions; yet, over the past quarter-century, the quality of sleep among the French has been declining.

There are many types of sleep disorders, and they affect everyone: women, men, infants, children, teenagers, adults, and the elderly. Over time, they can have a significant impact on quality of life.

To discuss this topic at the intersection of science and society, two multidisciplinary experts will answer questions from the audience live:

  • Valérie Cochen De Cock, neurologist and specialist in sleep and alertness at the Sleep and Neurology Center of the Clinique Beausoleil in Montpellier.
  • Cécile Priou, Psychiatrist , specializing in the treatment of sleep disorders in clinical settings and private practice. Cognitive-behavioral therapy.
