Knowledge Wednesdays – Alternative and Inclusive Teaching Methods

There is increasing talk of alternative teaching methods—are they just a fad, or a fundamental trend that reflects the evolution of our societies? How can we define them? Are Freinet and Montessori on the same page? Can these methods transform the educational system, or are they simply schools for the privileged few?

A comprehensive approach is needed. How can we design a new educational system that takes into account the whole child? How can we change the way we think about education while recognizing the urgency of environmental and societal challenges?

We will address these questions during this meeting. We will see that this is not a utopian ideal but a major challenge in developing, within the public education system, an educational approach that is inclusive, based on solidarity, and empowering for all.
