There is increasing talk of alternative teaching methods. Are they just a passing fad, or a fundamental trend that reflects the evolution of our societies? How should we define them? Are Freinet and Montessori on the same page? Can they transform the education system, or are they simply schools for the privileged few?

A comprehensive rethinking is needed. How can we design a new educational system that takes into account the whole child? How can we change the way we think about education, while recognizing the urgency of environmental and societal challenges?

We will address these questions during this meeting. We will see that this is not a utopian ideal but a major challenge: to develop, within the public education system, an educational approach that is inclusive, supportive, and empowering for all.

In accordance with health guidelines, all "Mercredis des Savoirs" lectures will be held remotely via videoconference at
