The University of Montpellier is addressing today’s societal challenges by launching an online course, the MOOC “Learning to Stay Informed: Meeting the Information Challenge,” available on the France Université Numérique platform.
Developed by the Joint Documentation Service, this MOOC provides fundamental skills—ranging from selecting sources to maintaining a critical mindset—tailored to the ever-changing technological landscape.
The course addresses contemporary issues such as combating "fake news" and the use of artificial intelligence. It offers methodological tools, exercises, and activities to help citizens navigate effectively through a world of abundant information, thereby fostering critical and objective understanding.
