PhD Innovation Week

Inspired by the “ Doctoriales ," PhD Innovation Week is an immersive event dedicated to innovation, technology transfer, andentrepreneurship. Supported by the Montpellier University Innovation Hub, it brings together the Doctoral College of the University of Montpellier, the Languedoc-Roussillon Doctoral College and the SATT AxLR to raise awareness among doctoral students about innovation and the socio-economic world.

From June 22 to 26, 2026, join a multidisciplinary team to develop an existing patent during a dynamic week focused on innovation and entrepreneurship at the Triolet campus in Montpellier.

Goals of PhD Innovation Week

• Training in innovation and technology transfer: discover innovation processes and learn how to turn your ideas into concrete projects;
• Explore entrepreneurship: develop your entrepreneurial skills and explore how to create value from your research;
• develop communication and teamwork skills;
• meet key players: interact with experts in innovation, commercialization, and entrepreneurship;
• Build a network: Expand your professional network and connect with leaders in the world of innovation.

Skills acquired upon completion of the training

• A strategic vision in the field of innovation and commercialization;
• in-depth knowledge of innovation and technology transfer processes;
• the ability to work as part of a team and communicate effectively;
• a better understanding of intellectual property issues and the protection of innovations;
• proficiency in tools such as the Lean Canvas, TRL (Technology Readiness Level), and other innovation methodologies;
• the opportunity to present and defend your ideas persuasively, particularly through pitch sessions.
