CultureSciences – young people committed to repairing the world.

As part of the Les CultureSciences cycle, Institut Agro Montpellier, in partnership with UM, is organizing a special screening and discussion of the film "Bigger Than Us" by Flore Vasseur, director and producer of an inspiring documentary about youth engagement around the world, on Tuesday, February 6, at 6 p.m. on the La Gaillarde campus.

Bigger Than Us is a film about youth. About its lucidity, its refusal to see our world go under. It is also a film about the fragility and beauty of life on this planet, our common good, where joy and the art of working together, of fighting together, can still prevail.

It is a film about freedom, despite everything, and the choice to take action that each and every one of us can still make. Bigger Than Us is also a sensitive portrayal of this youth in motion and its struggles around issues such as social justice, the climate emergency, women's rights, and access to food and education.

Filmed in seven countries—Lebanon, Malawi, Greece, the United States, Brazil, Uganda, and Indonesia—Flore Vasseur sets out to meet young everyday fighters whose commitment cannot fail to inspire us.
