Lecture as part of the Professional Development Day organized by the Joint Service for Support of Educational Innovation (CSIP).

The CSIP is hosting a conference on active learning methods in lecture halls and with very large student groups.

The goal is to discuss the following questions: How can we combine pedagogical transformation with lecture hall instruction? How can we encourage interaction within large groups? How can we develop diverse teaching strategies in lecture halls? And above all, what does this mean in practice?

To address these questions, we are pleased to welcome Emmanuel Sylvestre, Director of the Center for Teaching Support (CSE) at the University of Lausanne.

The aim of this conference is to foster discussion on not only how, but also why, to implement active and diverse teaching methods and techniques in the unique context of large groups, as well as on the implications for students and teachers.
