Relays & challenges of eco-navigation: the role of marinas and anchorages
This event has passed!
This day will take place in person at two interconnected sites, atthe University of South Brittany (UBS) in Lorientand atthe University of Montpellier.

These meetings will bring together marine protected area managers and stakeholders from the nautical sector, port managers, scientists, and start-ups in the sector to discuss:
- What environmental initiatives have been implemented in ports?
- What actors, practices, and mobility are involved in and around the port?
- Port reception and repair facilities: where do we stand?
- Anchorages and ZMELs: relays for eco-friendly navigation?
Marinas play a key role in the ecological transition of water sports. Their initiatives and commitments to sustainable water sports are multiplying, both through the implementation of programs and in their role as conveyors of values to boaters. Marinas are also home to many operators offering a wide variety of water sports activities, introducing new practices and new equipment.
After a few trips, once they arrive at their anchorage, these areas are also the site of measures to protect the marine environment, through the implementation of new frameworks, new technologies with less impact, and awareness-raising initiatives.
