Discussion meeting: Facing abortion – Women's Month at UM
This event has passed!
Tuesday, March 21, 2017, from 12:15 p.m. to 1:55 p.m.
with Gaëlle de Decker, author of Face à l’avortement (Facing Abortion).
Faculty of Medicine, historic building, anatomy lecture hall
Description:
More than one in three women have an abortion during their lifetime. Students are rarely targeted as such by major national information programs (contraception, abortion, etc.), even though abortions affect nearly 4% of female students each year.
Gaëlle de Decker, a psychologist and psychoanalyst who supports women and listens to the healthcare teams who treat them in the gynecology and obstetrics department of Montpellier University Hospital, speaks on the subject, in the presence of Anne-Cécile Sicard, a doctor responsible for prevention at the University of Montpellier, and a French sign language interpreter.
