Science, Responsibility, and Engagement: What Strategies Can Make a Difference in Public Policy?

The annual conference of the Collège des sociétés savantes académiques de France, co-organized by the Collège and its Montpellier branch, will be held on February 4, 2025, in Montpellier at the historic building of the Faculty of Medicine. The day’s program will feature three panel discussions: “Should we stop research?”; “Science and Public Policy: Research on Demand?”; and “What Kinds of Commitment, from the Individual to Institutions?”

The day will conclude with a public lecture by Valérie Masson-Delmotte titled “Taking Action on Climate Change: How Are Science-Society Interactions Changing?” in the Pétrarque Room at 6:30 p.m.
