Synopsis
The early 1990s. With AIDS having claimed lives for nearly a decade, activists from Act Up-Paris stepped up their efforts to combat widespread indifference.
As the newest member of the group, Nathan is deeply moved by Sean, who is giving it his all in the heat of the moment.
Discussion with Emmanuelle Cosse, president of Act Up-Paris from 1999 to 2001
In 1992, Emmanuelle Cosse joined Act Up-Paris, where she served as treasurer and later became president from 1999 to 2001. At age 25, she was the first heterosexual, HIV-negative woman to lead the AIDS advocacy group.
From 2013 to 2016, she served as national secretary of Europe Écologie–Les Verts, and then as Minister of Housing from 2016 to 2017.
