Emma and Anaïs are inseparable, yet they have nothing in common. Adolescentes follows their journey from the age of 13 to adulthood, a five-year journey of transformations and first times. When they turn 18, we wonder what kind of women they've become, and where their friendship stands. Through this chronicle of youth, the film also paints a portrait of the France of the last five years.
