French Waves Evening: documentary and masterclass
This event is over!
Screening followed by a masterclass with Para One, Cherokee and Ivan Halen.
Aimé Schœnig student house, Richter campus – Rue Vendémiaire, Montpellier.
Screening of the documentary French Waves
A journey into the electronic scene through the eyes of young director Julian Starke. From its American roots in the 1980s to today's major festivals, from illegal raves to their near-institutionalization, French Waves traces the particular history of French electronic music.
The masterclass
A privileged meeting with the artists who will share their experiences and inspirations.
On the program: collective improvisation and live recomposition of titles: they will reveal their tips and creative secrets!
Cherokee's music is both elegant and danceable. It pays subtle homage to pop and house music, evoking who is truly behind the artist: a great dreamer.
Para One, for his part, blurs the lines, innovates, reinvents himself, progresses, and climbs at his own pace the steps that lead him to the pantheon of the most exciting French producers of his generation.
