French Waves Evening: documentary and masterclass
This event has passed!
Screening followed by a masterclass with Para One, Cherokee, and Ivan Halen.
Aimé Schœnig Student Center, Richter Campus – Rue Vendémiaire, Montpellier.
Screening of the documentary French Waves
A journey through the electronic music scene as seen through the eyes of young director Julian Starke. From its American roots in the 1980s to today's major festivals, from illegal raves to their near-institutionalization, French Waves traces the unique history of French electronic music.
The masterclass
A special encounter with artists who will share their experiences and inspirations.
On the program: collective improvisation and live remixing of songs: they will reveal their tips and creative secrets!
Cherokee's music is both elegant and danceable. It pays subtle homage to pop and house music, revealing who the artist truly is: a great dreamer.
Para One, meanwhile, blurs the lines, innovates, reinvents himself, progresses, and climbs at his own pace the steps that lead him to the pantheon of the most exciting French producers of his generation.
