French Waves Evening: Documentary and Masterclass
This event has already taken place!
Film screening followed by a masterclass with Para One, Cherokee, and Ivan Halen.
Maison des étudiants Aimé Schœnig, Richter Campus – Rue Vendémiaire, Montpellier.
Screening of the documentary French Waves
A journey through the electronic music scene as seen through the eyes of young filmmaker Julian Starke. From its American roots in the 1980s to today’s major festivals, and from underground raves to their near-institutionalization, *French Waves* traces the unique history of French electronic music.
The masterclass
An exclusive opportunity to meet the artists, who will share their experiences and sources of inspiration.
On the agenda: group improvisation and live reinterpretations of songs—they’ll share their tips and creative secrets!
Cherokee's music is both elegant and danceable. It pays a subtle tribute to pop and house music, revealing who the artist truly is: a great dreamer.
As for Para One, he keeps things unpredictable, pushes boundaries, reinvents himself, and keeps moving forward, steadily climbing the ranks to join the pantheon of the most exciting French producers of his generation.
